The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine is back in action this weekend as the field heads to Germany for the penultimate stop of the 2025 season at the Hockenheimring.
For the second time this year, CL Motorsport will run a three-car line-up, welcoming back Enea Frey and Newman Chi alongside the team’s lead driver Michael Belov. After a strong run of form and consistent points finishes, the team’s focus is to strengthen its position inside the top ten and continue building momentum ahead of the season finale.
Famous for its mix of long straights, heavy braking zones and the fast, flowing Motodrom section, the 4.574 km Hockenheimring is a venue that rewards precision and speed. Track evolution and tyre management are expected to play a key role across the weekend, especially with changing autumn conditions in Germany.
David Li, CL Motorsport’s Team Owner Representative, said:
“Reaching the final stages of the season, we’re pleased to be back with a three-car squad. It’s great to welcome Enea and Newman again alongside Michael, who remains a reference point for the team. Our goal is to integrate quickly, fight for points with all drivers and finish the year on a strong note.”
Michael Belov commented:
“It’s always exciting to race at Hockenheim. We’ve been competitive in the last rounds and the target is to keep scoring solid points. With Enea and Newman back, the team is stronger, and we’re ready to push.”
Enea Frey said:
“I’m happy to return with CL Motorsport and to race again in FRECA after my recovery. I want to get back into rhythm fast and help the team stay in the points.”
Newman Chi added:
“Great to be back for another race weekend with CL Motorsport. I’ve been working hard to come prepared and the target is to keep improving and support the team’s push for top results.”
