The eighth round of the season saw CL Motorsport competing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya with Michael Belov as the team’s sole driver for the weekend, following the medical staff’s decision to give Enea Frey rest in order to fully recover from his injury.

Belov capitalized on his own experience and the team’s strong progress, bringing home valuable points with a 6th place finish in Race 2 on Sunday.
The weekend started positively, with Belov taking 2nd place in Collective Test. In the first qualifying session (Group 1), he set P8, which placed him 14th on the grid for Race 1. After a demanding race, he crossed the line in 15th position.
On Sunday, Belov and the team found stronger pace. He qualified 3rd in his group – P5 overall on the grid for Race 2 – where he delivered a solid run to finish in sixth place. With this result, CL Motorsport added more points with two rounds remaining in the championship.
David Li, Team Owner Representative: “This season is a learning curve, but the whole team is working extremely hard. Collecting data is a key part of our growth, and moments like this show that we can combine that process with strong results. Scoring points while continuing to build our knowledge gives us confidence heading into the final rounds.”
Michael Belov: “I’m very happy with this result. Race by race, session by session we prove we’re working in the right direction, and scoring points is the right statement for that. Looking forward to the next one!”
CL Motorsport now looks ahead to the penultimate race event, scheduled for the weekend of October 5th at Hockenheim.
