Indian racing talent Ary Bansal will make his FIA Formula Regional European Championship debut with CL Motorsport in a one-off appearance at the Hockenheimring for the season finale.
Born on 8 November 2009 in Chandigarh and based in Bengaluru (India), Bansal steps up to Formula Regional machinery with an impressive junior single-seater resume.
After demonstrating his speed in top-level karting, the Indian driver made an immediate impression in car racing, clinching the 2025 GB4 Championship title alongside race wins and podium finishes across multiple Formula 4 competitions. In the 2026 Italian Formula 4 Championship, Bansal currently sits third in the drivers’ standings, with one race victory and four further podium finishes to his name.
The Hockenheimring weekend will mark Bansal’s first experience of Formula Regional competition, providing him with the opportunity to adapt to new machinery and test himself against a highly competitive European field.
“I’m pleased to be joining CL Motorsport at Hockenheim. It’s a valuable opportunity to gain experience at the Formula Regional level and step into a new car. I’m looking forward to getting on track, building throughout the weekend and maximising every session,” said Ary Bansal.
David Li, Team Representative of CL Motorsport, added:
“We are very pleased to welcome Ary to CL Motorsport for the final round at Hockenheim. He has showcased great racecraft and natural speed throughout his single-seater campaigns. This one-off outing provides an ideal platform for him to gain experience at this level, and we look forward to working closely with him to deliver a strong weekend.”
As the season draws to a close, Bansal will look to carry his strong 2026 campaign into Hockenheim and build further momentum towards the next stage of his single-seater racing career.
