CL Motorsport is pleased to announce that Belgian driver Thomas Strauven will join the team for the upcoming Zandvoort and Spa-Francorchamps rounds in the 2026 FIA Formula Regional European Championship season, taking over the seat previously occupied by Enea Frey.
Strauven will therefore compete with CL Motorsport specifically for these two key events on the calendar, marking his official debut with the team in one of the most competitive stages of the season.
The Belgian driver joins CL Motorsport as the team continues its development in its second season competing in the highly competitive FIA Formula Regional European Championship. Strauven brings strong potential, determination, and a competitive mindset, having already shown promising performances throughout his single-seater career.
Both Zandvoort and Spa-Francorchamps represent a significant opportunity for Strauven to quickly adapt to the team environment, gain valuable mileage, and contribute to the team’s ongoing development program in two of the most demanding circuits of the season.
CL Motorsport is confident that Strauven’s work ethic and approach will be a strong fit within the team structure, contributing positively both on and off track.
David Li, Team Owner Representative of CL Motorsport, commented:
“We are pleased to welcome Thomas to CL Motorsport for the Zandvoort and Spa-Francorchamps rounds of the FIA Formula Regional European Championship. These two events will be an important first step in our collaboration, and we look forward to working closely together on track.”
Thomas Strauven added:
“I’m very happy to join CL Motorsport for Zandvoort and Spa-Francorchamps. I’m grateful for this opportunity and fully focused on working closely with the team to adapt quickly and give my maximum in both events.”
